Equal punishment has at last to be faced by Fahrul Rosi for murdering Heidi Murphy. The attorneys Eddy Arta Wijaya and Agung Kusumayasa convicted him guilty for for breaking article no. 339 of criminal law and therefore propose a punishment of lifetime imprisonment, in a trial held in the court of justice of Denpasar yesterday.

Unpredicted high charge resulted him in psychological shock. In previous trials he has always shown calm attitude even when almost all witnesses confirmed his criminal action. He even shown an arrogance by pushing off journalist’s camera and impolitely slam toilet door on his way back to his cell. The attorneys pronounced that based on the facts and evidences revealed during the trials which confirmed by his own pledge, it was proven that Fahrul Rozi has murdered Heidi Murphy. Responding to Fahrul statement that he had no intention to kill his victim, the attorneys thought it was nothing more than an attempt defense himself in the court.

The attorneys also proposed to return retained evidence including a green-gray colored bag, an orange colored bed sheet with bloodshed, and a silver wallet which belong to the victim, as well as robbed pair of engagement rings, an cell phone, watch, and cash to her family through Australian consulate in Denpasar.

Prior to pronouncing the charge, attorneys explained that weighing consideration were that his action created a sorrow to the victim’s beloved persons, causing negative image to Bali and its residing community, cruelly abused humanity, and has been involved in 12 criminal actions in the past. The only lightening consideration was that he admitted his guilt, regretted, and promised not to repeat in the future.

In separate trial, the same attorneys charged Nuryanto bin Sudar, Fahrul compatriot helping him in robbery and murder, 10 years imprisonment.

Fachrul Rosi with support of Nuryanto bin Sudar robbed an Australian garment entrepreneur living at Villa Mekar Sari, Jalan Kayu Putih No. 2, Tegal Gundul, Tibubeneng, Kuta back in February 9th 2008. Attempt of robbery then turned into a murder using a knife which he has always carried in his criminal actions.
