After passing through exhaustive series of judgment stages, Kubu Village of Bangli Regency in East Bali received the glorious title of Adi Karya Bhakti Praja after winning the nationwide village competition. The title was presented by Indonesian Internal Affair Minister on Friday (August 15th) at Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta.
The Regent of Bangli through the regency’s Head of Public Relation, Drs. Dewa Gede Suparta, M.M. explained that based on assessment conducted by the board of national jury, the village of Kubu in Bangli Regency has been announced to be the 1st winner of the National Village Competition. In addition to glorious Adi Karya Bhakti Praja, the village also entitled to a computer equipment to support administrative activities. The national government also committed to grant a special program. The trophy was received by head of the village, I Made Ari Pulasari.
Representing Bali, the village of Kubu competed 32 other villages representing their own province. The victory of winning a national title was the first in the history of Bangli, especially during the leadership of Regent I Nengah Arnawa, S.Sos., M.M. The regent expressed his grateful and expectation that the achievement would motivate other villages as well. The trophy was scheduled to be presented to the Regent of Bangly before brought over to the village.
The achievement was actually a result of communal effort taken by each and every residents of the village, especially in cleanliness and environmental preservation. The villagers was suggested not to get poisoned by the victory as preserving an achievement is just as hard as winning it. Even better communal efforts is required to increase the achievement event further.
