Bali Second Carrefour Outlet Opens

PT Alfa Retailindo (Tbk.) has just reopened its outlet located on Jalan Imam Bonjol which enjoys strategic location between Denpasar suburb and tourist centers like Seminyak and Kuta. With previous buyout of 75% share by PT Carrefour Indonesia, leaving the previous owners PT Sigmantara Alfindo and Prime Horizon Pte. Ltd. jointly in minority share holder with 25%, the comany has became part of Carefour Group and entitled to trade in Carrefour brand as part of it marketing strategy. The old Alfa is now the second Carrefour outlet in Bali, following the first one opened on Sunset Road last year.
Being one of the largest network of modern retail in the country, Carrefour enjoy significant popularity in Indonesia. The commissioner of PT Alfa Retailindo John Palinggi in his inauguration speech expected that carrying Carrefour brand would attract more customer. It was also expected that the rebranding excercise could contribute to economic growth of local community. “By reopening in new Carrefour brand we also intend to offer more job opportinity to local residents”, he continued.
Being an integral part of Carefour network, Carrefour Imam Bonjol offers more products in better quality. At least 30,000 local and national product itmes are available in its 5,000 square meters premise. Additionally Carefour Imam Bonjol also have salad bar offering ready-to-consume food, bakery offering breads, toasts, and pastries, childred care, and kid zone.
“Whilst we are in modern retail business, we appreciate local products and keen to engage partnership with local producers. 10 % of the 30,000 offerred product items are local product”, said Andreas Subrata, marketing director of PT Alfa Retailindo. In addition to thorough rearrangement making the shop more attractive, customers will also enjoy high quality products in affordable price. Additionally there are also about 5,000 products of Carrefour Private Label, an even more offerings of affordably priced quality choices.
