Increasing security threats after execution of Bali bomber convicts has been responded by increasing allertnes of Bali police department. Yesterday (November 11th) security measure was increased at Ubung bus station, the main gate of surface transport of Denpasar. Every arriving passenger originated from outside Denpasar have been strictly checked by both the station’s security guards, police officers from West Denpasar police office, and officials from other related institutions.

Tens of security personnel from various elements including police, armed force, and administrative police (Satpol PP) have started to check luggages and other belongings of arriving passengers since early in the morning, especially those attracting suspiction.  The operation was intended to anticipate security threats after execution of Bali bombers Amrozi et al.

Chief of West Denpasar police office Adjunct Commissioner I.B. Mantra under authorization of Denpasar police headquarter informed that the operation will remain for at least one week. In anticipation to incerasing security threats, gates as the first encouter of visitors gets the first priority. “It is an anticipation to potential security threat in Denpasar,” said Mantra.

Yesterday Beni Wahono, a passanger originating from Lumajang - a regency in East Java - has attracted suspicious for carrying large and heavy luggage. Opening the luggage police found that the luggage was containing silver handicraft ordered by Komang Adi Gold and Silver in Gianyar.
