After months of delay a team from the Civil Police of Badung regency put their hands to demolish the highest unit of Anantara Seminyak. Demolition was led by the Commander of Badung’s Civil Police, Wayan Adi Arnawa along with about 20 officers on Wednesday (January 1st). The process also involves technical experts.
Adi Arnawa explained that the demolition was conducted by the Civil Police as the owner of Anantara has failed to fulfil their commitment to proceed the demolition on their own. “They once promised us to demolish the violating part of their own premise, which unfortunately has never been fully completed so far,” he said.
After a meeting with Anantara’s management, Adi Arnawa explained that demolition of Sunset On Six located on the sixth floor of Anantara Resort Seminyak has once started by the owner on September 3rd 2008. However they stopped the process after one week ongoing. As an excuse, Anantara’s management explained that they stopped the demolition for the sake of guests’ safety and comfort. “They are concern about safety an comfort of staying guests,” said Adi Arnawa.
Demolition conducted by Badung Civil Police will proceed to final completion, which means that they will only stop after all parts of the building which violated regulations go down. However Adi Arnawa refused to set a target on when the whole process will be completed.
