Growth of property business in Bali was considered to grow too fast. The situation urged the local government to be strict in enforcing regulation to ensure any investment made in Bali would bring maximum benefit to Balinese. A Norwegian property enterpreneur, Terje Nilsen said in Denpasar yesterday (Wednesday, February 11th).

Therje who joined Paradise Property six years ago said his advice was not intended to stop investment in Bali, but to endorse the need for the government clarify regulation to invest in Bali. “Promote local wisdom to prospective investor, that’s what really need to do,” he said. Terje, who paid a serious attention to Balinese culture and Bali tourism industry, expect the local government to be able to make a wise conclusion from public opinion in protecting Bali.

He then added that the main orientation of investment in Bali has to be focused into ecology, as an effort to define the future of Bali. Balinese was also advised to pay attention to sustainable benefit as it was not possible for Bali to host mass tourism.

As the government clearly inform and strictly enforce investment regulation as well as motivate investor to appreciate local wisdom, lucrative investment growth Bali has can be directed into protecting the nature of Bali as well as avoiding degradation of Bali tourism.
