When his wish to buy Mount Batur for about fifteen billion Rupiah not yet accomplished, Jero Wijaya on Wednesday (30/9), around 22.30 Wita (Middle Indonesian time) was unfortunate. He attacked by a stranger till his face bruises. His house also attacked by numbers of stones. What motive behind those actions is still unclear. Is this has any relationship with his statement in a meeting with the vice regent and several members of Kintamani tourism agents; police is still doing some investigation.
Chief force of Bangli Criminal Department, Akp I Nengah Kariasa accompanied with chief police Kintamani sector, AKP I Made Oka on Thursday (1/10), said that his party still investigates this case. Besides there are lack of witnesses, the victim also cannot recognize the suspect face since the accident happened when dark as black as pitch.
According to Jero Wijaya confession, chronologically it started when the victim and his child in a restaurant. Suddenly there was someone knocks the door, he thought that was a guess who will stay for a night in his house. When he opened the door, he suddenly got pulled. The suspect abruptly attacked the victim and punched him. The suspects also kicked and knock down victim’s body made his body bruises.
After the suspect released his intention, the suspect immediately left the victim. Short time letters tens of rocks were thrown. It destroyed the roof, restaurant glass and victim’s inn. Who was the real culprit behind those actions was still under investigation.
We still conduct investigation toward this case. When it happened, the victim couldn’t recognize the suspect face due to the pitch black condition. The witness of that incident was victim child who was at the place had been already asked for statements, he said.
The victim, Jero Wijaya as time being still cannot be confirmed related to this incident.
