“Tousle” Meat is Suitable

By the day of Galungan and Kuningan, the necessary toward goods consumption price is jump up makes certain party used those moments by means of selling inappropriate goods. Therefore, Ranch, Fishery and Naval Department of Denpasar held unannounced examination in Kreneng market and Badung market on Thursday (October 7th). The Head of People’s Health Department of Denpasar Anak Agung Asriwati deemed the meat still can be consumed. Though it more tousle and dingy than the other meat, that duck meat is not dangerous. She thought the condition of the meat was due to its state when alive. There is possibility that duck was too skinny before butchered made it became more tousle and dingy. “But this meat still fine, if its danger, can be known from the smell. Usually it will reek,” said Asriwati when met in Badung market on Thursday.

In that inspection, the officials also asked for the meat price. The result showed that the price still stable and not increases yet. Only pork’s price that has been rose lately. Nyoman Gandi affirmed that one kilogram pork was usually around Rp 31.000 to Rp 32.000. “Now it has already from Rp 34.000 to Rp 35.000 per kilogram,” Gandi said.

It is predicted that price’s jump up will still remain until Galungan Day. Gandi also affixed that years before, pork’s price had strictly jump up in two or three days before Galungan. That’s why he predicted that its price will jump up again on Monday. “Years before it always like that. When it closer to Galungan Day, the meat become more expensive,” he asserted.

At the same time, team from Denpasar Industrial Affairs and Commerce also watch for the expediency of nine primary goods. Dewang shop at the area of Gajahmada Street and Super Ekonomi at Gatot Subroto Street had been targeted. “It’s still safe. There is no finding. The price can be categorized as normal,” said the Head of Industrial Affairs and Commerce Department, I Wayan Gatra.
