Hard rain in Jembrana and Gianyar os Sunday (October 25th) in night, cause several houses smashed up by the flood. In Jembrana, Benel Dam. In Jembrana, Benel dam at Manistutu village was overflowed. It affecting in the damage of several houses located at the riverbank got drown yet only the roof part that is still can be seen. No died victim in that tragedy. The flood had drawn at least three building for about three meters in high.

While the rain in Tegallalang, Gianyar, on Sunday night gave such a disaster for I Wayan Lanus (90) from Banjar Pujung Kelod, Sebatu village, Tegallang, Gianyar. In the middle of the hard rain, suddenly his house stroke by the landslide along with mud flood. It almost caused died victim. Wayan Lanus who had drawn with the mud flood was saved by the local citizen.

In that tragedy, the house which is now 50 meters below, that was valley area swept by the mud flood made the holy place for family, traditional house and kitchen damaged badly. When that tragedy happened, his family member almost became victim. They are Wayan Lanus wife, Ni Nyoman Patri (80 years old), his child, Nyoman Alit (34 years old), his daughter in law Ni Made Suwetri (39), and his grandchildren, Wayan Sukadi (12 years old) and Made Sukandana (5 years old).

In that tragedy, Lanus who has already recovered from his sickness get drowns with the mud flood who strokes their house. Lanus swept along for 200 meters. The local citizen who knew that event immediately evacuated and found Lanus stuck at the brink of the Nyeh Injin River, Pajengaji. This mud flood victim suffered injuries in his right hand and his leg bulged and hospitalized in Sanjiwani Hospital. Whereas the other five family members were save from that tragedy.

Land slide and mud flood was happened around 01.30 a.m. this tragedy caused by the land slide at the verge of the road above the valley for about 50 meters in high. The rain fell since Sunday night at 10 p.m. caused several roads got flood.

Gianyar Regent Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Tjok Ace) immediately came to the location and ordered certain department and institution collecting data according to that tragedy.

Only A Month

While in Jembrana, house belong to I Gusti Komang Dapna drown. What remained to be seen was the house’s roof only. There was also the holy building with seven pelinggih stayed to be unseen. His granary building also swept away by the flood. Besides him, I Gusti Putu Suartawan house also stagnated in the water.

Vice Regent of Jembrana, I Putu Artha straight away went to the location. According to Artha, the people should have left that dangerous location. Moreover they had received compensation for their land.
