For about 90 dancers and classic singers will held performance in Bali from December 1st up to 11, 2009. The appeareance of this cultural delegations are part of Indian Festival activity in Bali.
The activity of Indian festival in Bali is part of Indian Festival in Indonesia held by the Indonesian embassy supported by Indian council for cultural Relation and Indian Culture and Tourism Department.
This festivals is intentionally been held to tighten the friendship of Indian and Indonesian culture and inheritance. In that performance, the Indian dancer and the classic singer will perform in eight places in Bali.
That places are Taman Budaya Bali, Ashram Gandhi Puri Klungkung, Puri Gede Karangasem and Puri Saraswati Ubud Gianyar.
The coordinator of Indian Festival in Bali, Agus Indra Udayana in his official statement in Renon on Thursday (October 29th) said that Indian Festival was such a rendezvous with “old lover” Bali-India.
Until today, Indian people still celebrated Kartika Purnama that is lighten up candles ritual carrying out by Indian women on the beach to greet their lover who went to Bali.
“Perhaps this cultural meeting makes us gain inspiration to enrich and develop our culture,” assessed by Ashram Gandi Puri Klungkung.
In this Bali performance the Indian dancer will presenting their Manganiar and Kathak in Puri Saraswati Ubud, Gianyar. Besides they also will perform Taal musical from Tanmoy Bose & Group where the music is tantra music and considered as the mythic ones.
