Pasupati of Heirloom Keris in Kerambitan

If Hollywood actor Steven Seagal learnt spiritual knowledge in Mengwi, Badung, Bali, then rock star from England, Mick Jagger conduct ‘pasupati’ ritual – cleaning from spiritual aspect – of his keris – Indonesian sword – in Puri Anyar Kerambitan Tabanan.

That ritual is conduct by Mick Jagger in 1997. And that keris was given by Indonesian millionaire, Setiawan Djody.

Ritual ‘mempasupati’ keris ini dilakukan Mick Jagger di Puri Anyar Kerambitan Tabanan pada tahun 1997. Keris yang dipasupati merupakan keris pemberian konglomerat Indonesia Setiawan Djody.

“At that time, Mick Jagger conducts pasupati in merajan (temple) Alit, Puri Anyar Kerambitan. That keris was purified by pedanda (Hindu’s Priest),” as been explained by one of the Puri Anyar Kerambitan family member, Anak agung Ngurah bagus Erawan.

After the ritual over, said Agung, then he took it with him back to England.

Pasupati ceremony is part of Dewa Yadnya ceremony – ceremony dedicated to God – In Hindu’s believe, this ceremony has function in brought the magic power into life and ask for that power against certain stuff that will be blessed.

Based oh Hindu’s believe especially in Bali, everything created by Ida Hyang Widhi – God – have soul in it, including human creations will have soul and magical power by asking it from the God as the creator of universe through Pasupati ceremony.

Stuff that can go through Pasupati ceremony are keris, barong, rangda, etc.
