Serangan Island – Pulau Serangan – which is known as Turtle Island actually hid lot of charm point. Especially when there is connecting bridge, it make the accesses to that island become easier. To raise that island’s charm point, Denpasar Government have a plan to held an event named “Festival Pulau Serangan” – Serangan Island Festival –

It was according to Kadis Perindag – head of Industrial and Commerce Department – Drs. I WAyan Gatra, M.Si accompanied with Kadiparda Drs. Pt. Budiasa, Serangan Village officer and committee when there was an audience in capitol regent office (November 11th)

Regent Rai Mantra in that meeting said that the festival is held in order to raise again the charming point of this island such as for its mangrove, fisherman village, varied of turtle, ornamental fish, multicultural, exploitation area (especially for those who had such hobby like riding bicycle and photography), art, spiritual, culinary, nature tourism and maritime.

“With its every attraction have by this island through this festival, hopefully each of Serangan Island potential will work well. And along with that potential it is hoped that this island will be known well by local society as well as in international world,” he explained.

Besides through this “Pesona Pulau Serangan” festival people will get challenge and awakened to build their area and raise their economic sector creatively under the basis their best culture.
Whereas, Kadis Perindag I Wayan Gatra also explained that in the festival there will be several activities such as coral reef plantation by the regent, society and all of stake holder, Clean Serangan campaign, culinary, exhibition, installation art and graphic with theme of Green And conservation, display, art and cultural creativity performance, band parade, ship race, traditional swimming race, workshop and many other.

This Serangan Festival will be held for three days starting from November 13th until 15th located in Serangan Island.
