Head of Badung I Farming, Fisheries and Marine Department, Made Badra to NusaBali on Sunday, December 12th conveyed the prediction for big wave for four to five meters will be happened in the end of this December. This huge wave is part of yearly seasonal cycle. Besides, this event comes as the effect of the west wind.

“Three months as the end of the year until February will feel the effect of the west wind. That event also take place in May, now hard rain has happened, latter it will followed by transitional season,” said Badra yesterday.

Moreover Badra explained, his party straightly remembering the fishermen considering that weather condition prediction. The fishermen are warned not to sail in that condition. Relating to aids for the fishermen during this transitional season, Badra said that there is none of them. He said that the fishermen should prepare their daily need when they are not sailing.

Today, there are 12 groups of fishermen in Badung, it spreads around four districts that is South Kuta, Kuta, North Kuta and Mengwi).

“They usually have already prepared everything, before the bad weather condition. Their activity could turn into fixing their boat. Means that the fishermen has no compliant against this cycles condition,” said Badra.

Department Area III of Denpasar, Endro Tjahyono on Sunday, December 12th said that the weather condition around Bali is conducive. According to him, there is no kind of storm seed caught yet nowadays.

“Recently, all of them are still conducive. It means that every single sailing activity no needs to be stopped. Water sport, crossing, sailing and fishermen activity, can run normally since the weather still conducive,” said Endro.

He said that Disnakanlut – Farming, Fisheries and Marine Department – warning can be come from Jakarta so it’s covered national territory and perhaps happened outside Bali. “I don’t know where Disnakanlut get that information as far as issuing warning, may be from Jakarta. If we in this several days actually never issuing any warning since according to our monitoring activity, there is no any signals or phenomenon indicating danger around Bali,” he added.

Whereas, from weather prediction station, BMKG Territorial III Denpasar. Is predicted for today’s wave high, on Monday, December 7th and Tuesday, December 8th tomorrow, at the north sea of Bali the high wave reaches 0.5 to 1.5 meter and at south is 0.5-2 meter. The officer at weather prediction station said that the high of the wave is still safe.

For the weather, it has been said that Bali is still entering rainy season. This was marked by the change of wind direction that is now moved from south west. On Monday and Tuesday, it has been predicted that the weather in Bali will cloudy with probability for having easy rain. This is most likely happened in Middle Bali area. “Perhaps the rain will fall in Tabanan, especially in Bedugul and North Badung, including Plaga,” he said.
