Bali is just like honey for the job seeker. Bali also appears like sugar for the investor. They (investor and job seeker) come in throngs to this island of God. All of them want to take benefit from Bali’s pulchritude. But ironically, human resource in Bali still lots of them jobless. They are defeated in competition with outsider human resource. It cause the number of unemployment people continuously get increase. Why that kind of thing could happen and what the Balinese should do in overcome that problem?

Wantilan – open hall – of Jati Desa Adat Batur Temple on Friday (December 18th) yesterday full of Balinese people. Most of them are job seeker. They were “pumped” their spirit of endeavor. Willingly to make effort in a work competition and keep the endeavor spirit in order to fill their self with professionalism.

There were six resource people who give motivation in an event themed “Motivation and Working Network” held by Bali Post Media Group cooperate with Pasraman Besakih. They are, Dane Jro Gde Batur Alitan, Main Director of PT Pos Indonesia Wayan Mardjana, GM Kandatel Bali Gde Negara, Main Director of Bank Sinar IB Kade Perdana, environmentalist Dr. Kartini, Chief of Kadinda Bali/ tourism businessman Gde Wiratha and the leader of Bali Post Media Group Satria Naradha.. Jati temple was chosen as this motivational event took place because at Segara Batur temple there was the progress of Danu Kertih and Ida Batara katuran nyejer up to the next December 25th.

Satria Naradha in his speech when opening this event stated that unemployment number in Bali according to the data in BPS reached 60.000 people. The real number off course will be more than that. Moreover, the data gathered by Bali Post Media Group mentione that the number of unemployment in Bali is for about half million people. This gave much for us to be concern about.

In the middle of tourism advance and the wave of outsider attack to find job in Bali in fact there is unemployment rate accumulation take place. If we let it out and not give any attention at all, there is no doubt that it will become a much larger problem In the future. Not merely economic disparity but also in protecting Balinese art and culture.

Starting from this anxiety, then motivation as well as work networking was held. First it will begin at the open hall of Besakih temple. It has a purpose for Bali’ Human
Resource mapping to create net so latter their will be well data composed and they connected widely through the internet. It was hoped that the government together could take several steps.

The same thing also said by Dr. Luh Kartini from Bali Organic Association (BOA). Green revolution had left traditional farming and not again utilizing local human resource. It makes the farmer not protecting their natural resource anymore since they considering it give no benefit for them anymore. Unfortunately, that advance technology merely introduced the mechanism process and benefits without considering another side of it such as maintaining nature preservation.

On the other side, Bali farmer also has such a bad luck. Tourism that should be brought them a way to raise their per capita income, but none of them could enjoy it. Especially to go through hotel market, in fact Bali farmer find it hard entering their agricultural production. Besides it long trading chain there is an indication the existence of mafia who pressed Balinese farmer. With buying their production in a very low price while they sell it higher to the consumers.

Therefore we demand for the regional government role and Bali province that for real until today still didn’t show any clear alignment to the farmer.

Meanwhile, Linggih Dane Jero Gede Batur Alitan explain Hindu’s have two job that is swadharmaning for religion and country. In Bali itself until today ceremonial procession never meet any end. Though Bali with a very small landmass becomes unstable with the very crowd people population, makes there is a demand for the spirit of the people can keep maintain custom and culture in Bali without putting aside the welfare problem.

Bali is state as a place that could invite exodus people into this island. This cause the small island more crowded and give such neglected impression. That’s why, Bali human resource cannot give up. Moreover, if they already have knowledge, spirit to raise their life quality along should remain continuously motivating them.
