The economic growth set by Bali provincial government in APBD 2010 – Regional Expenditure Budget 2010 – only 5.66 percent. That target still couldn’t satisfy the council. Since that target showed such slow down movement compared with 2009 for about 5.74 percent. If that thing is related with Bali Governor target, Mangku Pastika to raise income per capita in Bali twice in 2013, off courses it hard to realize. Today, per capita income is Rp 12.24 million become Rp 24.48 million in the end of Mangku government.
In Regional Middle Term Development Plan 2008-2013, economic growth is hoped can reach 7.25 percent per year. That wish almost the same with the economic number during orde baru’ government – President Soeharto government – with 7 percent average.
What the government want to achieve perhaps look ordinary. No innovation, creativity and hard working. Moreover with only 5.66 percent development, it is such a slow down.
Member of commission II DPRD, Nyoman Sugawa Korry affirmed that the 6 percent economic growth in 2010 is very likely can be achieved. Due to March 2009 the economic activity keep better, domestic demand keep increase pushed by the increase of people purchasing ability. Tourist visiting also getting well, with the last note mentioned that the amount of tourist came to Bali due to the end of 2009 has been more than two million people. We could meet brighter economic prospect when looking this controlled inflation reality.
BPS recorded that on November 2009, inflation in Bali merely 0.10 percent. While the inflation rate from January to November 2009 was 3.78 percent. This low inflation is believed can push purchasing ability. That’s why a courageous to determine quite high economic growth and its ascension significant with former economic growth. “Only by the increasing of economic rate we significantly could reduce several problems like unemployment, poverty and leads us to the improvement of people welfare,” he said.
Then if the economic growth in 2010 is determined lower than before how we can overcome unemployment and poverty problem in Bali?
BPS noted that on August 2009, the unemployment in Bali reached 69.548 people. Open unemployment on August 2009 was 3.1 percent.
Secretary of commission II DPRD Bali, Gede Kusuma Putra, Ak, M.M. on Monday, December 21st stated that every parties in council want for the increasing of economic growth. But, still government decision in determining economic growth merely at 5.66 percent is reasonable. It is due to the realization of economic growth over the end of 2009 only reached the number of 5.22 percent. Whereas the government had committed 6 percent economic growth then revise into 5.74 percent. If it is compared with national economic growth that realization could be considered above national average number which only 4-5 percent. BPS Bali yesterday noted that national economic growth in 2010 is targeted 5.22 percent. To chase 6 percent growth there should be real action in every department or SKPD in Bali province.
Kadisnakertransduk Bali, A.A. Gede Anom Wartawan met in separate place confessed that nationally there are 9.258.964 unemployment people. From that amount 1.113.020 people are scholars. While in Bali, according to him, the amount of unemployment people are 60.045 people (different with BPS Bali recorded). This amount is lower than in 2008 for about 95.000 people. It decreased 3.9 percent or 35.000 people. Today, the number of unemployment scholar is 6.948 people. “Honestly we meet bigger difficulty when deal with scholar unemployed since they are too choosy,” he explained.
