In New Year night of 2010, Polda Bali – Bali Police – and Polres Badung – Badung regional police – will close all access road into Kuta and Petitenget Kerobokan. Road access into Pantai Kuta Street will totally close meanwhile for Petitenget Kerobokan will guarded by vast react police.

Road closing in several points in Kuta area will starting from Thursday (December 31st) at 04.00 p.m. it has been recorded that nine points into Kuta Beach will totally close. According to Kabid Humas Polda Bali, Kombes Pol. Gde Sugianyar, nine points access into Kuta will be close they are Sunset Road – Jalan Raya Kerobokan, Jalan Sunset road-Jalan Mertasari. Jalan Sunset Road-Jalan Kunti, traffic light Kuta, Jalan Patih Jelantik-Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Patih Jelantik- Jalan Legian, Jalan Patih Jelantik Sri Wijaya, Jalan Dewi Sartika-Jalan Singosari dan Jalan Raya Kuta-Jalan Singosari ke barat.

People who want to spend their New Year eve at Kuta Beach will be allocate through Jalan Imam Bonjol and park at Central Parking area of Kuta. Then, if the vehicles have already at Central Parking area, the driver will ask to walk for Kuta Beach,” said Sugianyar.

Meanwhile for Polres Badung, they also will conduct the same thing. This year security is maximize in Petitenget area, North Kerobokan Kuta, guarded by officer in police dressed as well as police in civilian dressed.

Access transfer also conducted from LP Kerobokan from Sunset Road and redirected into the north of Simpang TL LP Kerobokan. From simpang TL LP Kerobokan toward Jalan Petitenget into one-way street.
