In the future, the utilization of Penet River has big potential as for raw water supply in fulfilling the needs of clean water for South Badung area.

Raw water supply can be utilized until 500 liter per second directed for the needs of clean water supply in four regencies/city that are Denpasar City, Badung Regency, Gianyar and Tabanan (Serbagita).

Raw water utilization will begin with Tukad Penet dam development at Cemagi Village of Badung Regency and at Beraban Village of Tabanan Regency. That project is supported by central government fund in 2008 and 2009. And this project too will be continued in 2010 as for pump supply, main pipe network with seven kilometer in length along with the development of cliff strengthen at Penet river flow for about 800 meter.

Hence, 2010 development plan will need fund support for about Rp 40.5 billion and hoped could sourced from central government fund.
