As had been predicted before that there will be no surprise in this year’s regional general election involves incumbent candidates. In three regencies, that is Badung, Denpasar and Karangasem, the incumbent candidates stand as the victor of the election in almost every districts of their respective area.

In Badung, Regent-Vice Regent candidate AA Gde Agung-I Ketut Sudikerta (AS) carried by Golkar-Demokrat won the election hold on Tuesday (May 4th). They beat I Wayan Wita-IWayan Disel Astawa (WiDi). From the provisional vote count, AS packet achieved absolute win at various election sites in six districts of Badung Regency.

Thus, ensemble the previous prediction that AS packet could win the election fight easily rather than WiDi packet. From the provisional vote count, AS achieved 160.578 votes (72 percent) and WiDi with 62.498 (28 percent) from total 233.076 valid votes.

Gde Agung when met at Mengwi Castle yesterday straightly asserted that all of this is due to the people believes. For that Gde Agung conveyed his gratitude to Badung people who give again their faith for AS packet.

Gde Agung also give his appreciation for WiDi packet who had protect the election constituent so it could run in conducive atmosphere. As far as Gde Agung state his preparation to invite WiDi packet on his governmental track to build Badung together.

Meanwhile in Denpasar, the incumbent candidate, Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra-Ida Bagus Gede udiyana up to the last vote count at PDIP Media Center at 09.00, legal vote reached 248.939 people.
Dharma-Negara achieved around 180.737 votes or 72.6 percent. Meanwhile its rival Subawa-Udiyana is around 68.202 or merely 27.3 percent.

Confirmation from NusaBali, Rai Mantra considered the result is still temporary. Even he viewed the quick count conducted at his house also considered not a final result yet. He still waiting for the determining result from KPUD Denpasar – Denpasar Regional General Election Commission –

“It’s still in survey line. Only a beginning. We will wait for the final result from KPUD,” sai Rai Mantra. Whilst in Karangasem, the power from first incumbent candidate, Wayan Geredeg-I Made Sukerena is unavoidable. From eight districts in Karangasem, they won seven of them. Geredeg-Sukarena from Golkar party up to last night count time had achieved 109.302 votes or around 47.54 percent.

They surpass their closest rival I Wayan Sudirta/I Wayan Astawa from PDI Perjuangan party who achieved 70.425 votes or 30.52 percent meanwhile I Wayan Bagiartha/I Gusti Lanang Rudiartha only achieved 28.333 votes or 12.49 percent and the last of them was I Gede Putu Kertia S.E/Tjok Sutedja S.H with 15.079 or merely 6.53 percent votes.

In another hand, head of Bali KPU, Ketut Sukawati Lanang Putra Perbawa in the middle of Pilkada observation yesterday said that the election situation is conducive. After the vote hope everything will keep stable.
Governor Pastika also commented, when he give his vote in East Denpasar, on Tuesday, that if there is candidate who nominated themselves purely to serve the people, automatically they would not make any loud if they are lose in this election.
