Ministry of Transportation will form small team to discuss and make same perception in relation with the toll’s threshold in Bali which will connect Serangan, Denpasar and Tanjung Benoa (STB).
Head of Transportation and Communication Agency for Bali province, I Made Santha in Denpasar, on Friday said that that team will meet in Jakarta on Tuesday (May
in order to discuss that mega project including within it, the bridge threshold.
“This team consist of related institutions such as commission I and III of Bali Council, Man Power Directorat General, Bali Transportation Agency Office and Ministry of Transportation,” he said.
As has been known before, the polemic around threshold started when the result for technical study concerning 33 meters threshold viewed was no visible by PT Pelindo.
It is due to Pelindo co, demanded for Benoa Port could accommodate or serve ships weighted above 20 gross ton. Thus, make a suggestion for threshold depth becoming 44.8 meter.
This suggestion then reaped pro and contra. Bali council insisted on maintaining the original study. The reason is that 33 meter depth has already in accordance with the “master plan” Benoa 1995 strengthened once again with result of study in 2005 and 2008.
He says that based on that the council party asserted for there is no reason to delay the development moreover if it is due to the Pelindo Company only.
This problem become worsen when there is instruction letter from Minister of Transportation las May who stated that the above threshold height shall be 45.99 meter and 44.8 meter below it.
“Our problem laid on under threshold modification. The problem that makes this project continuously delayed,” said Santha.
Regarding that differences, both Commission III DPRD Bali as well as Dishubinfokom visiting Kemenhub to ask for explanation.
“We are accepted by Plh Secretary General of Ministry of Transportation, Ttoejung Indrawan. As he is the director of Kereta Api Company,” he said.
In that meeting, Tuesday (June 1), Santha continues, there were two opposite poles. In one side there is council represented by Agus Suradnyana who want to keep maintain 33 meter threshold depth meanwhile the central, in another side, want the depth deepening.
“In this case, the central should considering the local interest first whilst observe other technical issue,” he said.
Meanwhile, here Bali Provincial Government has an interest for STB development can realized as soon as possible, that make the differences need to be adjusted immediately.
