BNI signed cooperation for training and entrepreneurship workshop as well as tax clinic for student and micro, small also middle business or also known as independent medium business in Bali.
Signed cooperation conducted between head of BNI office territory 08, Suhendry Hafni with Udayan University rector, Prof. Dr. I Made Bakta in Denpasar was held in Denpasar, on Thursday.
Head of BNI office territory 08, Suhendry Hafni said that small middle macro business or UMKM is one of Indonesian economic power that have strategic and important role for national economy.
He said that due to several crises in Indonesia, UMKM had proved that they are able to survive. However, unfortunate for this UMKM, it is difficult for them to grow due to various problem and limitations they face.
“Through management training and in order to build entrepreneurial spirit as well as tax clinic for UMKM, we invite and push UMKM in Bali to move forward,” he said.
It is said that UMKM who still does not understand yet how to make monetary report and propose banking credit make the bank party judged them not bankable. Moreover with UMKM limited access to get through the banking.
“Around 30-40 percent credit application proposed by UMKM is not suitable with the Bank standard,” he said.
It is said that BNI as one of BUMN company – national banking company – try to assist UMKM dealing with their problem including helped them to form UMKM tax-abiding entrepreneur.
“We want to educate them through a program packed in training and workshop event as well as tax consultation service raised by practitioners who are competent in their field,” he said
Dean for Faculty of Economy Udayana University, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Ramantha who is also BNI consultant stating his optimism upon the benefit could UMKM’s entrepreneurs gain after participating this activity.
This training program will help UMKM to manage their financial report in accordance with financial accounting standard. There is also section where we will train them to be able to write SPT that is appropriate with the tax laws.
Training and workshop program will be held for nine rounds from August to December 2010. Each generation consist of 50 people, as they are students and UMKM entrepreneur and will be held for two days as each day cost six hours training.
For UMKM entrepreneur who needs tax and entrepreneurship consultation, he said they could consult it in February 2011 at Faculty of Economy Udayana University.
“This tax clinic program is the first local program and also the first to be held in Indonesia,” he said.
The signing event also attended by Rector III Prof. Ir. I Gede Putu Wirawan representing UNUD rector, there is also Dean of Faculty of Economy Prof. Dr. I Wayan Ramantha, head of KADIN Bali I Gde Sumarjaya and representative from Bali Tax Office.
