1 Billion Scholar Allocation

Bali Provincial Government is allocating 1 billion Rupiah of scholarship fund for poor college student in Bali. The fund will be given in term of 2 million Rupiah scholarship per year for 500 new college students.

That scholarship assistance especially given for student come from poor family who take department or program study less attracted or in other word have lonely enthusiasts, such as Bali Language Department, Puppetry, Fishery and Agriculture department.

Head of Bali Educational Agency, Wayan Suasta in his statement in Renon (July 31) conveying that the scholarship delivery for students in college level at rare or less attracted program study basically is part of the effort preserving local culture.

“For instance, at Udayana itself, there is Faculty of Letter and among it program study, there is Bali Language Department, instead of letting it disappear one day and in another side Bali need expert in Balinese language either for staff or teacher, the government then propose this kind of scholarship,” Wayan Suasta said firmly.

Wayan Suasta confessed that last year, Bali Provincial Government had already given scholarship for 500 students too at rare or less attracted department or program study in Bali.
