Moslem people in Tabanan Bali held hataman Al-Qur’an at Al Muhajirin Al Mosque in Sanggulan Village of Kediri District in order to welcoming the coming of Ramadhan 1431 H.

“We are from Rukun Warga Muslim (RWM) – Moslem Neighborhood – of national public housing Bukit Sanggulan Indah (BSI) and its surrounding held varied activity starting from voluntary work cleaning the mosque up to hataman Al-Qur’an,” said head of RWM BSI AKBP Ir. Yani Nur Syamsu, MSi in Tabanan, on Monday.

He says that Moslem people in Tabanan had expecting long for the coming of holy month of Ramadhan since it is the month full of bless, mercy and forgiven. Thus, in order to welcoming the coming of Ramadhan, the Moslem held varied of worship activities.

At the BSI national public housing, the activity held are voluntary work, cleaned the mosque and its surrounding environment on last Sunday (August 1st). There is also imtihan and recitation followed by children at TPQ Al Muhajirin, on Friday (August 6th).

The people also clean the grave yard at Kampung Jawa on Sunday (August 8th) as well as hataman Al-Qur’an and tahlil akbar – big recitation – at Al Muhajirin Mosque held on Monday (August 9th) night.

Aside from that activity, Syamsu says that Taklim council of Al Muhajirin household mothers would also held pesantren kilat – short-term religious training – at Al Muhajirin Mosque.

“Starting from children to their parents pray in welcoming the coming of Ramadhan,” he said.

RM Denan AS, a Moslem figure who is also the board supervisor for RWM said that the activity of welcoming Ramadhan is part of mental and physic preparation in facing Ramadhan hope could increase “Ukuwah islamiyah.”

What most important, she said, the activity hope could foster a sense of unity and brotherhood among Moslem.

“We supported fully every activities held by RWM people,” she said.
