Market Sudden Inspection Initiating Lebaran

Facing the next Lebaran, Industrial and Trading Agency of Denpasar city, on Thursday held sudden inspection at Badung Market and at some nine basic needs in Denpasar, Bali.

“This sudden inspection conducted in order to observe pricing development, aimed too to know the quality of meat sold by butcher at Badung Market,” said Head of Protection and Cooperation Division of Trading and Industrial Agency, Dra. Luh Gde Ratnaningrat, in the middle of that inspection activity.

Moreover, he said that the activity dedicated to ascertain the supply and stock of view items even though the condition is still safe nowadays.

With enough amount of stock the people especially those who conduct fasting could do it in ease.

That afternoon sudden inspection involved some institutions such as BPPOM Denpasar, Meteorology Agency of Bali, Husbandry Agency, Health Agency along with Peace and Order Agency of Denpasar.

Beside, checking the scales, the inspection team also checked some kinds of meats sell at Badung market.

The inspection showed that in the middle of market hustle of the biggest market in Bali the officer found a fish trader playing with the scale through adding magnet under it. Seeing it, Ratnaningrat directly gave hard warned and took away the magnet with her.

“It already harmed the consumer, I hope you wouldn’t do it again tomorrow,” said Ratnaningrat strictly to that trader.

Meanwhile from the meat checking, the officer didn’t find any rotten meat or unfit meat for sell. She viewed that it is rare to find any rotten meat or meat unfit for sell in Badung market due to her party regular observation including to some of abattoir in Denpasar.

“We also routinely, twice a week observing meat quality to the markets in Denpasar, including to the abattoirs,” she explained.

After sudden inspection at Badung market the officer also observing some nine basic needs distributors in Denpasar. The result showed that the stock both during fasting period or day after Lebaran is still enough.

In Denpasar today, said Ratnaningrat, 16 big distributors ready to serve the requirement for nine basic needs.
