Badung Regional Government arranging flyover development in order to solve traffic jams around Nusa Dua, airport and Simpang Siur of Bypass Ngurah Rai, Kuta area where stand God Ruci’s statue.

“There are three topics still discussed in order to solve traffic jam happened in Nusa Dua and Kuta area up to Sanur,” said Badung Regent, Anak Agung Gde Agung in the middle of breaking the fasting with editor and press in Kuta, on Wednesday.

Those three things stand as the solution to solve the traffic jam in Kuta area and surround it. First is gone through moving the statue of God Ruci, the knot for traffic jam and shift it with top pass and under pass.

The other two that the regent Gde Agung still fighting over are the raising of road infrastructure quality through conducting road widening and the development of flyover.

The flyover road that is still in the planning detail led to the mangrove area, although the plan would not clearing the mangrove. “We design the road would has height of one meter above the sea and pass over the mangrove area,” he said.

“We still preserve the mangrove. The road development would only pass the part of the land which has no mangrove so we could build on it the road buffer. This could solve the traffic jam happened from the airport, Nusa Dua, Simpang Siur of God Ruci up to Sanur area,” he asserted.

Gde Agung said that the development of top pass and under pass will run in accordance with the development of road widening at Uluwatu I Street and Uluwatu II to Ayana Hotel Jimbaran.

What left to be thought of is the traffic arrangement around the project location due to the plan that needs two years to be finished.

“Badung as part of the central government could not resist any plan come from the central in relation with flyover road development since it was the state’s project. That is the central’s right. We only provide support here,” he said.

His party, the regent said, principally supported the effort in solving over the traffic jam happened in Bali, until today, we still not know fully the detail of that project.

“We have not yet receive more comprehensive and detail explanation regarding the project, including the definitive aspect of that project development,” he said whilst straightening the judgment developed that Badung has rejected the project and has been called by the governor regarding this matter.
