Bali government is preparing a fund of poverty handling as much as Rp31 billion for repairing houses of poor people in this year. The fund will use for fixing 1,550 unreasonably occupied houses in whole areas of Bali. The Head of Social Department Bali Ketut Susrama said the quality of fixed houses in this year will ensure better than last year due to it is using self-management system that involving villagers. It is different with last year system that using tender system.

“The used system is self-management system due to last year we had tried this system and it was good. It is resurrecting people participation and mutual cooperation in this self-management system,” said Ketut Susrama. Susrama mentioned in these two years Bali government had done house repair program for 3,000 unreasonably occupied houses. Recently Bali estimated pocketing about 1,000 unreasonably occupied houses.
