Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) for the first time is achieving Love Award of Nation Creation 2011 for BUMN (state owned enterprise) category. “President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono handed over this award to the main director of BTDC IB Wirajaya in State Palace on Thursday (5/1),” said the Head of General Division BTDC Ida Bagus Abdhi through his press release in Denpasar on Monday.

He explained Love Award of Nation Creation is an award that given to a state institution or regional government enterprise which substantially distributing an increase of domestic product usage (P3DN) in provisioning goods and services so it will push businessmen to increase their production for both domestic market and export market. This award, said Abdhi, came from government base on President Instruction Number 2 in 2009 about an increase of domestic product usage in provisioning goods or services. Further it is being part of an effort to increase competitiveness between national industry products.

For those reasons government which played its role as the leading guard of people prosperity should apply P3DN especially in provisioning goods and services. “BTDC committed to push all of investors who will build hotel and any kinds of tourism facility in this area to use local materials. Its control will hold by design team,” said him. According to him, BTDC achieves Love Award of Nation Creation 2011 base on some aspects. Since early the areal rented to the asset owner, his side has signed to use local materials and Balinese-styled architecture. It brings big effect whether economic sector, labor absorbance, social culture and conservation of local design.
