200 MW Electricity for Bali in 2012

PT State Electricity Company (PLN) targeting to finish underwater cable to stream 100 x 2 Megawatt from Java to Bali in the middle of 2012. Development staff of PT PLN Nur Suciono on Wednesday said the infrastructure development of underwater cable is including to a network of Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara.

All of electricity will stream to Bali and Nusa Tenggara as it is coming from power plant in Java Island. “However power distribution belongs to other division. We are only providing the infrastructure facility,” said him. Mr Suciono said this month underwater cable construction is still in development step for land track foundation in Ketapang, Banyuwangi.

In the other side public relation staff of PT PLN Bali Agung Mustika said the 200 MW power will directly connect to the main station in Kapal and Mengwi, Badung. The other electricity stations are guaranteeing distribution and stock safety while the company planned to add one electricity substation in Canggu.
