Tourism observer evaluates the concept of spiritual tourism which is promoted by the Government of Karangasem Regency has been defeated by Ubud, Gianyar Regency.
“The spiritual tourism is not new stuff. Increasing number of illegal sand miners along Ayung River in Abiansemal district triggered Badung government to conduct immediate action. However, the government itself would not run through harsh action toward those illegal miners. It is due to the most of them are local and they only find their way to feed themselves and their family.
